Privacy Policy (U.S.)
Last updated: October 2026
This is a summary, for visitors and customers in the United States, of how Flota Inteligente handles personal data. It covers the information you share with us through this website and, if you become a customer, through the platform.
1. Who we are
Flota Inteligente is operated by FLOTA INTELIGENTE SAS (Colombian tax ID (NIT) 902.071.976-9), a Colombian company with its registered address at Carrera 7 #116-50, Bogotá D.C., Colombia, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: contacto@flotainteligente.com
2. Information we collect on this website
- Information you send us: when you email us to request a demo or a quote, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include (for example, your company and fleet size).
- Technical data: IP address and approximate location (city/country), device type, operating system and browser version. Your IP address is also used to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse (Upstash). If an error occurs, and in a small sample of visits, Sentry records technical details of the failure and a session recording (navigation and clicks) with all text, form fields and images masked.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: on your first visit a cookie banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Essential only". Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, events, session length) runs in Google Consent Mode: until you accept, it sets no cookies and only receives cookieless signals, which include your IP address and browser data, for aggregate statistics. Meta Pixel (ad campaign measurement) is not loaded at all unless you choose "Accept all". You can at any time, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
3. Information we collect if you become a customer
a) Account and company
- Name, company name, email address and, optionally, a phone number and company logo
- Password, stored only as a bcrypt hash — never in plain text
- If you sign in with Google: your Google name, email address, profile photo URL and account identifier
b) Fleet and drivers
- Vehicle details (plate, make, model, year, color, mileage), vehicle document files and maintenance records
- Driver name, email, ID number, license number and expiration date, photo and document files your company uploads
c) Vehicle location from an installed GPS device (24/7 fleet tracking)
If your company installs GPS devices in its vehicles, we receive each vehicle's location and the time of every report, continuously, 24 hours a day, while the device is installed and linked to your account. Only your company's owner and admins can see it. Because the device tracks the vehicle, it also reveals the location of whoever is driving it: your company is responsible for informing its drivers and obtaining their consent where the law requires it. The device provider acts as a processor on our behalf.
d) Driver location during a trip (mobile app)
While a driver has a trip in progress, the mobile app shares the phone's location — only from the moment the driver starts the trip until it is completed or canceled. Your coordinators and the customer of that trip (through a private tracking link) can see it. The location points are deleted when the trip ends; only an image of the route remains in the proof-of-service PDF. Drivers can deny or revoke the location permission and still complete the trip.
e) Customer WhatsApp messages (AI agent)
If your company connects its WhatsApp Business number, we receive the phone number and messages of customers who write to request a trip. The text is processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to extract the trip details and create the trip, which stays pending until one of your coordinators assigns a driver and vehicle. Messages are kept with the rest of the trip information.
f) Mobile app and integrations
- Push notification token and device platform (iOS or Android), only if you allow notifications; deleted when you sign out
- Google Calendar tokens, only if you connect your calendar — we only create, update and delete the expiration events we manage, and you can disconnect at any time
- Read-only document links that you choose to create and can revoke at any time
4. How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiries and prepare quotes
- To provide the service: accounts, fleet, documents, maintenance, trip scheduling, GPS tracking and the AI agent
- To send expiration alerts and service emails or push notifications
- To let the dashboard AI assistant answer your team's questions and prepare the actions you confirm
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose errors
- To understand how the website and platform are used (Google Analytics 4) and, only if you accept cookies, measure ad campaigns (Meta Pixel)
We do not sell personal data.

9. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw any consent you have given, by emailing contacto@flotainteligente.com with a description of your request. We will reply as soon as possible.
10. Children
The service is intended for businesses and for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Governing law and changes
This policy is governed by the laws of Colombia (Law 1581 of 2012 on personal data protection). The full policy in Spanish is available here. We may update this policy; material changes will be announced by email to customers. We will post any changes on this page, with its last-updated date.
